  • Perseverance
  • Respect and honesty
  • Willingness to give everything
  • Stay calm in all situations
  • Train at home
  • Respect for the opponent
  • Ensure the opponent is okay
  • Challenge yourself, not compete against others
  • Involve the opponent in your own game to win
  • Fight outside the dojo only for self-defense or defense of others
  • Eat healthy
  • Drink enough water
  • Overcome weaknesses and defeats
  • Flee if you have no weapon but the opponent does
