A good karate athlete has :
- Perseverance
- Respect and honesty
- Willingness to do anything
- Keeping calm in all situations
- Training at home
- Respecting one’s opponent
- Making sure one’s opponent is okay
- Competing against oneself and not against others
- Training opponents in one’s own game to beat them
- Outside of the dojo, only fight to defend oneself or someone else.
- Eating healthy
- Drinking enough water
- Overcoming one’s weaknesses and defeats
- Fleeing if one does not have a weapon but one’s opponent does
